#4 simple machines at home.

We were studying simple machines at school. Now we had to find simple machines in our community.
This is a picture of me and a knife. The knife is a wedge.
This is a picture of my blinds. They are a pulley.

This is a door knob. It is a wheel and axel.


I am holding a screw.  The screw is a screw.

I have a flyswatter. The flyswatter is a lever.

I am sitting on my stairs. Stairs are a type of inclined plane.

 The picture of the lever is two people on a sea-saw.  The picture of the wheel and axel is a person on a big wheel.  The picture of the pulley is a person lifting another person in an elevator.

#2 __ simple machines in school

The simple machines in the pictures make life easier.  The wheels on the trash can, the gears in the clock, and the locker handle can all help daily life.  The clock tells time and the wheels help the trash can move.  The locker handle helps you open the locker by releasing the lock.

1.        Locker handle- levers let us open doors by having lock that is released when you pull the locker handle.  This makes life easier because you can open a door without it hanging loosely on it’s hinges.

      

                                      

2.       Trash can wheels- the wheels on the trash can are wheels and axels they let the trash can slide on smooth surfaces.  This makes life easier because it allows people to move heavy full trash cans with less effort.

                            

3.        Clock- a clock lets us know what time it is because of the gears in the clock.  This makes life easier because if you did not know what time it was you wouldn’t be able to schedule appointments.

This is me.

I do not have many hobbies.  I like video games, red vs blue, and science and history channels.  I can do 2 things at once, like walking and reading or write and pay attention in class.  I earn $20 every 2 weeks  and I have 2 dogs.  My dogs names are brutus and princess, they are both boxers (the awesomest kind of dog).  I run cross country and track.  They are fun sports to me because I like to run.  Sometimes in cross country we play ultimate frizbee.  If they stopped doing cross country as a school sport I don't know what I would do.  My favorite shows are red vs blue and how it's made.  My favorite movies are Jonah Hex, Live Easy Die Hard, Red, and Forrest Gump.
